Antique Glass Perfume Bottle Baccarat

Antique Baccarat Perfume Bottle with a stuck and broken stopper. This Baccarat Bottle from the 1920’s contains valuable perfume. First task remove perfume and store safley . Then remove stopper and repair it.  I remember coming home and  knowing grama was in the house  as I came up the drive by the smell of her perfume . The smell of roses so thick you could taste them.

I hear it over and over” I  put the bowl in the sink and turned on the water then I heard it crack”

.  Dont wash glass in hot water or it will come to me for repair. This pressed glass bowl cracked in two pieces. I used an adhesive to repair the bowl and it will be used for many more  parties . Repairing antique glass punch bowls and other pressed glass pieces doesn’t return the value but it makes grama happy.

Swarovski Crystal Repair

Swarovski makes very fine crystal and over the years I could fill a zoo with  Swarovski Glass Animals I have repaired. I recently restored a pair of Swarovski Crystal Birds. Swarovski crystal repairs are generaly simple reglues.

I  also made a custom, wall hung, bent glass display case just for a collection of Swarovski Crystal Animals with mirrored shelves and custom low voltage lighting. The small Swarovski crystal prisms are glued together to create all kinds of shapes.It’s not uncommon for the glue to fail so don’t blame the kids if you find a three-leged dog.

Antique Glass Chandelier Broken Crystal Arms

The movers broke several antique crystal arms on this Chandelier .The Chandelier was very dirty and rusty . The pins through the prisms had gotten wet and rusted. Repairing antique glass arms was the easy part.Cleaning and rewiring was the time consuming  part. I used white cloth covered wire per original . The clear plastic wire is less noticable but I like to keep  as authentic as possible .  Two of the strands of prisms were missing  I got lucky and had old ones in stock. I disassembled ,cleaned the glass and polished  the chrome pieces. When moving antique glass chandeliers they should be taken apart to relocate. We installed the restored chandelier in the dinning room .

Crystal Chandelier Restoration Complete   I enjoyed the transformation  and the client  call the moving company and thanked them. It was upsetting when they broke it  but it look so beautiful now .

This decanter is part of a set . It has a silver tray and cruet set so fixing it was a must . It was part of the family and I had to get a little creative to blend in the repair. I added some more etching to hide the new neck sorry I didn’t get a final photo.

Crystal Repair Remove Etching Remove Monogram

Over the years, I have removed a lot of monograms and inscriptions.   Sad but a good set of glasses need not be wasted . May they toast many good events to come!

Names and dates can be polished off glasses bowls plates and trophies .  So if you inherit a set of glasses, bowls, plates or trophies, I can easily remove the unwanted monogram from them.    Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all.  Thanks!

This time of the year out come the candles and if you let them burn down to low they will crack the glass.

 I made two new glass parts to replace the broken steuben candlestick top and bottom.  This $900.00 Stueben candlestick is ready to use .When I repair  Steuben Crystal  the restoration are cost effective. Glass blowing is the key to this repair . With out the ablity to make new parts this broken crystal candlestick would end up in the trash. This antique crystal candlestick will make many more Christmas Dinners.

Repaired Fish now has a fin to stand on

I repair glass sculptures and I repair memories. Her grandfather was a glass blower and he made the fish back in the old counrty. The two bottom fins got broken . I have to remove what is left of the original fins and make new ones .Grind and polish the bottom of the fish first step. Next make two new fins that match color and size of the old ones. Attach the new fins and I’am done . That wasn’t so bad.

Steuben Crystal Snail Repair

I received two broken steuben snails that were missing their antlers, tenticals, and antennas. I polished the area were the things used to be. Then I made about twenty antlers picking out the best for shaped and sized and attached then. They were as good as new.

Antique Glass Chalice Repair

A customer brought us this green glass piece to repair. The problem was that there was no base to the chalice. We were able to repair this green glass chalice by creating a new base. You can see the before and after picture below. A ntique glass can be repair. I made a new foot.
