The stopper was in bad shape .  It was broken in three places and  there were some pieces missing.  I needed to add a pieces of glass to get the right height. The decanter is a beautiful cobalt blue cut to clear .  The plug of the stopper was broken off. That is the part that is ground to fit the neck of the decanter.

CRYSTAL DECANTER REPAIR CHIPPED AND BROKEN NECK

The antique decanter had a large chip and a crack running down and across the neck.  Over the years the large chip that can off was lost.  The crystal decanter was also cloudy on the  inside from decades of use. The stopper was missing also.  The fist challenge was to stop the crack from traveling any farther.

The crystal pitcher has a very large chip on the rim.  It will have to be reshaped .

Antique Crystal Candelabra Repair Chipped Glass Missing Piece

The crystal candelabra was broken and the pieces were missing.

Cue out the chipped part.

Fit in new piece off glass.

Its not perfect but when it is back on the candelabra with the prisms installed you won’t be able to see the repair.

Crystal Repair chipped Waterford crystal compote

There was a very large chip in the Waterford Crystal compote.

By grinding the top of the compote down I was able to remove the chip.

Waterford Bowl with chipped foot repair

The Waterford Crystal bowl had a large chip on the foot.  I had a matching foot so I cut off the chipped one and replaced it with a good foot.

CRYSTAL REPAIR CHIPPED WATERFORD CLOCK

The Waterford Crystal clock had a very large chip in the base.   I cut off the damaged base and replaced it.

The new glass base was installed and the clock was sent back .  The clock movement was installed by the owner.

CRYSTAL REPAIR chipped and broken glass candlestick

When dinner is over  “blow out the candles “.  Time and time again people finish a candle lit dinner and retire to some place more comfortable  forget to  put out the candles.  Then the candles burn down and when the flame gets close to the glass candle cup it cracks.  This were I come in.

The antique glass globe was broken and many of the pieces were missing.  I make a new top for  antique glass globe .

I made the flag shade of the old shade.

I frosted the glass to match.

I cut and polished the design in the new top.

I installed the new top on the antique glass globe.

Chipped Crystal Repair Orrefors Obelisk

The solid Orrefors Crystal obelisk had several large chips on the corners .  The geometric shape requires grinding the entire side to retain the shape .

CRYSTAL REPAIR WATERFORD BOWL CHIPPED GLASS FOOT

The Waterford Bowl had a large chip on the base.  The chip was to large to grind and polish out.  I found a broken candle stick that had the same shape base.  I removed the base from the damaged candlestick to use on the bowl.

Chipped crystal glassware repair wine glass water glass

Chipped wine glasses ,chipped water glasses ,chipped rock glasses, champagne  glasses and chipped cordial glasses can be ground and polished to look like new.  Crystal glassware is hand made and each glass is a little different size.  Stemware from the major manufactures can be very expensive and some times the patterns have been retired so repairing is the only option.
