Antique glass cruet repair broken crystal decanter

The markings indicate it was make in England and its sterling silver.   Sent to me from a church in Boston Mass. this cruet is one of four that was purchased when they built the church.  The antique glass cruet was dropped and broken.  I cut off the broken bottom in line with the silver ring . I made a new glass bottom and foot .

Antique glass globe repair with missing pieces

The” gone with the wind oil lamp” has been in the family for many years .  Some one broke it and lost some of the pieces. This make the restoration of the glass globe very difficult.  First we reassembled the the pieces we had leaving a large hole that needed to be filled.   Casting  a mold off of the antique globe we were able to make a new curved white opal glass to fill the hole.

Waterford Crystal repair broken candlestick missing piece

The Waterford crystal candlestick was broken and they lost the pieces.  Making a piece to fit were the piece broke out was not an option. So I made a new top to replace were the glass was missing.

Antique Pink Glass Elephant Repair

Glass elephant  figurine made out of pink rock glass.  It was broken in many pieces and in need of restoration.

Steuben Crystal Repair antique glass fish repair

The antique  glass fish was made by Steuben . Some time ago the fin was broken off and lost.  I made a new fin and attached it.

Crystal Repair Broken Waterford Stem

Sent from New York, New York for restoration the Waterford Crystal wine glass had a broken stem . It was cracked in two places were the stem meets the foot and were the stem meets the bowl.

Some were in New York city a couple is having a glass of wine with dinner and remembering when they went to Ireland  in the 80’s  .  They bought a set of Waterford Crystal Wine glasses after the factory tour.

Grandmas antique glass cake plate was broken during washing.  Hot water was the problem it happens over and over again.  I seen it many times.  The good part about heat cracks is they are very clean breaks. The pieces fit back together and there are no small chips.  This  antique glass plate looked great after the repair.

Antique glass repair broken crystal plate

The pieces from  the antique glass plate were shipped to me from Boston Mass. I was able to repair the broken antique  glass plate.  There were several small chips along the cracked edges of the plate.  After putting it back together I polished  out the small chips.

Broken wine glass Waterford Crystal stem

Broken crystal stem are repairable. This Waterford wine glass was broken in three pieces.  I repaired the glass for a fraction of replacement cost.

If you break a wine or water glass you should save the pieces because hey can be used to repair other glasses.

Crystal Ice Bucket Repair Waterford Glass

The broken Waterford crystal ice bucket was sent to me from Atlanta,  Georgia .  What happened was common   after the party they poured out the ice and then wash it in hot water.  Waterford crystal  can not take the thermal shock.

Antique Glass Repair broken crystal candlestick

The antique crystal candlesticks were dropped and broken.  We carefully reassembled them.  Antique glass candlesticks like these after repair set a beautiful dinning table.  Sent to me from Miami Florida for repair. The customer was very happy to get them repair because they came from Grandma.

This is what happens when you let your candles burn down .    When the candle burns down to the bottom the heat from the flame cracks the glass.  Antique crystal candlesticks

To prevent this from happening to your antique crystal candlesticks you can take a drill and drill up from the bottom about two inches . That will  remove the wick from the candle and the flame will go out before it can crack the glass.

Waterford Crystal vase repair

Broken when washing with hot water.  Waterford crystal and all crystal vases should be wash with warm water.  This one cracked in half and we repair with an adhesive.
