Antique glass perfume bottle repair
May 14th, 2011 by Marc Konys - posted in All Repair Projects, Antique Glass Repair, Broken Decanter Repair, Stopper RepairThe antique perfume bottle has been in the family for many years it holds a lot of sentimental value . The bottle has been broken for over fifteen years . The local glass companies and antique dealers in Miami Fla. said it was not repairable . Her husband persisted and told her she would find someone to repair it keep looking.
The antique amber perfume bottle was sent to me with a broken neck and broken dauber. First step in the restoration process is to remove the broken neck on the antique glass bottle. Great care is taken to remove what was left of the neck with out damaging the bottle.
After connecting the new neck to the old bottle the stopper is ground to fit.
Replacement dauber for antique glass bottle.

I have several metal perfume bottles. They have the glass
vial insets and a glass wand/dauber inserted
in a metal channel in the top. Some are missing the
glass vial and the glass wand. Where can I find replacements?
They appear to be same size vial and same size
Wand/dauber.
Thanks,

How much would it cost to fix an antique cobalt blue glass perfume bottle. It has a crack inside of the neck. There is a thin decoration of silver on the outside of the neck. Please provide a rough estimate if you can.
