Antique glass globe repair with missing pieces
April 3rd, 2011 by Marc Konys - posted in All Repair Projects, Antique Glass Repair, Antique lamp repair, Glass Globe, GlueingsThe” gone with the wind oil lamp” has been in the family for many years . Some one broke it and lost some of the pieces. This make the restoration of the glass globe very difficult. First we reassembled the the pieces we had leaving a large hole that needed to be filled. Casting a mold off of the antique globe we were able to make a new curved white opal glass to fill the hole.

I have a very similal glass globe which is broken but fully intact. What glue should I use. Superglue did not hold beyond one year.

Help! Pets knocked over our antique floor lamp. There is minimal damage around the flange only.We don’t have all the pieces, some were slivers but we do have three usable pieces. Please reply.
